Rupee expected to remain steady: HSBC

Chief Economist-Asia Pacific at HSBC Arup Raha says that rising Fed rates and high oil prices are a major concern. While the rupee is expected to remain steady, dollar is structurally weak and is likely to fall from its current levels, says Raha. Chief Economist-Asia Pacific at HSBC Arup Raha believes that rising Fed rates and high oil prices are a major concern today. He adds that oil prices are likely to fall further. While the rupee is expected to remain steady, dollar is structurally weak and is likely to fall from its current levels, says Raha.
Further he says that the Indian valuations are stretched, but the structural growth story is intact.
