Tales of an incurable manic-depressive

In the past six weeks, “Mr Market” confirmed that he’s an incurable manic-depressive. In the first week of October, the indices hit all-time highs at Sensex 8820 (Nifty 2670). By end-October, prices had dipped by more than 13% and gloom and doom was the prevailing sentiment.
We’re in mid-November now, and prices have recovered so fast in the past three weeks that the optimists are talking about another all-time high next week. Indeed, it’ll take just a 2% upmove so, it’s well within the bounds of probability. Before I hazard an opinion on the chances of another all-time high next week, let me list things that are required to make it happen.
